- Be enrolled full-time or part-time; part-time students must take at least one‑third of the hours required for the school’s full-time students each term.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Apply to their school’s financial aid office on or before the school’s own application deadline.

- The school will be asked to verify the applicant’s good academic standing and financial need.
How recipients are selected Preference is given to applicants who meet the eligibility rules and demonstrate, in order of importance:
- Previous experience with medically underserved populations
- Greatest financial need
- Academic capability
Deadlines and next steps
- You must submit your scholarship paperwork to your school’s financial aid office by the school’s deadline.
- A completed application for the upcoming academic year must be received by the Center for Rural Health no later than June 30.
