If you love math and science and plan to study computer science in college next fall, the Intertech Foundation’s STEM Scholarship is designed for you. Below is everything you need to know—organized as a clear checklist so you can tell at a glance whether you should apply and what to prepare. Who should apply - High school seniors graduating spring 2026 - Intending to begin a computer science degree at an accredited U.S. college or university in fall 2026 - Strong record in academics (see eligibility) Scholarship overview - Award: $2,500 total (non-renewable, one-year scholarship) - Disbursement: Two equal payments of $1,250, paid directly to your college at the start of each semester Eligibility requirements - Cumulative high school GPA of 3.3 or higher - Intention to study computer science in college - Graduating high school spring 2026 and enrolled at (or accepted to) an accredited U.S. college or university by the end of August 2026 - Note: Children of Intertech employees are not eligible What to submit (only complete applications are considered) Use the online application form and upload the following: 1. Copy of official high school transcript (copies acceptable if school offices have limited hours) 2. Resume listing paid work, volunteer work, and extracurricular activities 3. Two letters of recommendation (one should be from a math or science teacher who knows you) 4. Copy of college acceptance letter (optional at the time you apply, but REQUIRED before any scholarship payment is made) 5. Essay (350–500 words) answering two points: - How current computer software has impacted your life - One specific way you would improve that software Award conditions and school responsibilities - Payment schedule: $1,250 paid to the school at the start of each semester - To receive the second $1,250 payment, you must maintain a minimum 3.3 GPA during your first college semester - Your college must provide, after the first semester: 1. Proof that your GPA is at least 3.3 2. Confirmation that you are enrolled for the upcoming semester 3. A receipt for the first scholarship check received from the Intertech Foundation Final administrative notes - You must be entering your first year of college to receive funds. - Before any grant funds are released, the winning student must provide the school’s name, student ID number, administrative contact name, phone number, and the full address to which the payment should be sent. - Complete the application using the form below.
