Every year Boreal Waters awards more than $800,000 in scholarships to students from northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. These funds — made possible by generous individuals, families, and organizations — are meant to help learners of all ages continue their education, expand their opportunities, and give back to their communities.
Who this is for
- If you’re headed to a college, technical school, or any other post‑secondary program, these scholarships are intended to help. Use the scholarship search tool to find awards that match your background, interests, and location.
Important overview
- Most scholarships are offered through one universal application.
- The universal application opens December 1, 2025, and closes February 24, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
- Scholarship winners will be notified by email no later than May 1, 2026.
- Scholarship payments are sent directly to schools: fall semester awards by July 30, 2026; spring semester awards by December 30, 2026.
