Starting from 2013, The National Space Club and Foundation has provided a platform for a student to deliver the keynote speech at its annual Goddard Memorial Dinner, a highly esteemed event in the space industry. The student is required to show interest in the Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) fields, demonstrate academic prowess and have excellent public speaking skills.

The selected student speaker at the Goddard Memorial Dinner will also be granted a $20,000 scholarship. This scholarship is dedicated to a U.S. citizen and is open to high school seniors through to graduate students enrolled in an accredited educational institution in the United States, with a fixed plan to engage in a STEM career.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
  • The scholarship is open to high school seniors up to graduate students.
  • Applicants must show a commitment to pursuing a STEM career and have plans to enroll in a recognized U.S. college or university to undertake a course of study in the STEM field, with a bias towards those with an interest in space.
  • The $20,000.00 scholarship can only be applied towards tuition for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Please bear in mind, the National Space Club may request original stamped/signed copies of the transcript at any stage during the application process.
