How long the scholarship can be received
- You may receive this scholarship for up to five academic years total: a maximum of three years as an undergraduate and two years as a graduate student.
- The cumulative maximum payment across those years is $12,000.
Renewal requirements (what you must do each academic year)
To renew the award you must, by the end of the academic year (spring term):
- Have received the scholarship for no more than the allowable years (three undergraduate + two graduate).
- Earn the required number of credits during fall, winter and spring:
- Undergraduates: at least 24 credit hours if your school defines full‑time as 12 semester (or 8 quarter) hours.
- Graduates: at least 18 credit hours if your school defines full‑time as 9 semester hours.
- Maintain the required cumulative GPA:
- Undergraduates: at least 2.50.
- Graduates: at least 3.00.
- Maintain continuous full‑time enrollment unless LOSFA grants an exception.
- Continue to pursue a degree in forestry, wildlife, or marine science.
