Kalamazoo County FB Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Kalamazoo County Farm Bureau
A Committee appointed by the Kalamazoo County Farm Bureau Board of Directors will determine the recipient of the scholarship. Funds will be awarded after the student has completed their first semester of higher learning, and has maintained a grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4-point scale for the semester.
PROVISIONS:
- Applicant must submit a letter of recommendation from their high school Principal or Senior Counselor, and include an official transcript of their high school classes.
- Applicant must submit a resume (two pages maximum) of work and/or volunteer experience(s); and any involvement, in the community, school, FFA, sports, fine arts, 4-H, and church etc.; please include also any awards and honors received.
- Applicant must include a one, no more than two page essay, about their family; career plans and goals; why they wish to pursue them; reasons for requesting this scholarship; and any specific circumstances that should be considered by the scholarship committee.
Eligibility:
Applicant must be a member, child of, or under the guardianship of a Kalamazoo County Farm Bureau Member.* " Applicant must be a high school senior or graduate accepted by or attending a post-secondary educational institution. Applicants need to be pursuing a Degree in Agriculture or two year Ag Program. " Financial need is not a requirement. Usually this scholarship will be awarded once, but applicants may re-apply. " Applicant must meet the provisions set out in the application.
