Greater Jacksonville Fair Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Greater Jacksonville Fair Association
For nearly seven decades, the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair Association has been a proud benefactor to our local community, contributing over $2.6 million to charities and providing scholarships to deserving students with aspirations of furthering their education. The Association's primary objective in offering these scholarships is to foster personal growth and provide financial assistance to eligible students who intend to pursue studies in agriculture, veterinary medicine, and other related fields.
Eligibility for these scholarships is extended to students residing in the following Florida counties: Duval, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Nassau, or St. Johns. Applicants must be at least high school seniors, either currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a four-year university, junior college, or technical institution.
The Scholarship Committee will only consider complete application packets. These packets must include:
- The completed application form
- An essay from the applicant. This one-page essay should briefly discuss the applicant's background, any awards or special recognition received from community, high school, sorority, fraternity, civic, agricultural, or religious organizations, participation and awards from 4-H, FFA, or Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair or local or state fairs, and the applicant's leadership experience within these organizations.
- Three original letters of recommendation. If possible, these letters should be written on the letterhead of the person making the recommendation.
All components of the application packet, including the application form, the applicant's essay, and the three letters of recommendation, must be submitted simultaneously to the offices of the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair. The deadline for submission is October 1, 2025.
Applicants are kindly requested not to fold or staple any part of the application packet. The complete scholarship packet can be mailed, emailed, or hand-delivered. Only complete packets (application, essay, and 3 letters of recommendation) received by the deadline will be considered by the Scholarship Committee. The Committee's decision is final. All applicants will be informed of the results during the first week of the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair, where the scholarship winners will be publicly announced.
