It gives high-achieving Arizona students the chance to pursue those opportunities—and it can cover your undergraduate costs at one of Arizona’s three public universities.
What the Flinn Scholarship covers
- A full scholarship (more than $135,000) that pays tuition, fees, housing, and meals at Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, or the University of Arizona.
- Funding for study abroad and other flagship enrichment experiences.
How to begin (do these first)
1. Read this page carefully.
2. Watch the Flinn information session.
3. Review the “Make it Matter” flyer.
4. Sign up for email updates so you don’t miss deadlines.
5. Follow Flinn on Instagram for announcements and tips.
What the application includes
- Biographical and school-related forms (current courses, activities, and employment).
- Two essays plus one short-answer response.
- One academic/teacher recommendation: must come from a high-school teacher who has given you a letter grade in a course.
- One leadership/service recommendation: may be from a teacher, professor, coach, employer, or another community member.
- Transcript and school profile: uploaded by your high school counselor as part of the counselor report.
- ACT or SAT scores: minimum 26 ACT or 1230 SAT. Note that October is the last month of testing that will qualify for the 2026 Flinn Scholarship.
