Overview
The National Beta Scholarship Program exists to help Senior Beta members afford continued education. Each year the program awards more than $300,000 in scholarships to about 260 active 12th‑grade Beta members. If you’re a senior and an active member, this is one of the best scholarship opportunities to pursue—start early and be thorough.

Who is eligible
- Active 12th‑grade (senior) National Beta members.

What’s awarded
- Over $300,000 distributed to roughly 260 recipients each year.
- Top awards (for finalists) include $20,000, $15,000, $10,000, $8,000, $6,000, and five $2,500 awards; many other recipients receive at least $1,000.

How to apply (quick checklist)
- Application opens: November 3, 2025.
- Deadline to submit: 11:59 PM EST, January 15, 2026.
- You’ll need: National Beta membership ID number and your last name to access the application.
- If you don’t know your membership ID: ask your National Beta sponsor or email the National Office with your full name, school, and state.
- Required uploads: high school transcript (official or unofficial) and ACT/SAT scores (a screenshot is acceptable). All documents will be verified for authenticity.

Phase 1 — What you must provide in the initial application
Complete the online application and include:
- Contact information.
- Academic details:
- Unweighted GPA.
- ACT or SAT score (upload a copy for validation).
- High school transcript (official or unofficial).
- Club activity related to National Beta:
- Events attended.
- Leadership roles and Beta awards.
- Service hours listed by project and your role in each.
- Resume information:
- Other extracurricular activities.
- Service hours outside of National Beta.
- Awards and honors outside of National Beta.

Notifications after Phase 1
- Applicants selected to receive at least $1,000 will be notified by email.
- Winners will also be posted online and on National Beta’s social media channels.
- Selection decisions (including semifinalists) are final and not subject to appeal. No application feedback will be provided.

Phase 2 — Semifinalist requirements (top 100)
If you are named one of the top 100 semifinalists (announced February 12, 2026), you will be asked to submit additional materials by March 15, 2026, to be considered for the top awards. Required items:
- One sponsor recommendation addressing why you deserve the National Beta Scholarship.
- One to three candidate evaluations that assess character, leadership, service activities, and academic performance.
- Two student essays.
- Work history (if applicable).

Important timeline
- Applications open: November 3, 2025
- Applications close: January 15, 2026 (11:59 PM EST)
- Semifinalists announced: February 12, 2026
- Semifinalist materials due: March 15, 2026
- Winners announced: May 1, 2026

A few practical tips from a teacher
- Start the application early so you have time to request transcripts, test score uploads, and a thoughtful sponsor recommendation.
- Keep copies (PDFs/screenshots) of everything you upload.
- Ask your sponsor to write specifics—concrete examples of leadership and service help reviewers.
- Double‑check deadlines and time zones; late or incomplete applications are not considered.
