Overview
The Anthony Muñoz Foundation Scholarship exists because Anthony and his family want to help deserving Tri‑State students afford a local college education. The Foundation awards multiple $20,000 scholarships to selected high school seniors who will begin college as freshmen in Fall 2026.

How applicants are selected
Students are interviewed and selected based on:
- Demonstrated financial need
- Academic achievement
- Evidence of overcoming adversity (resilience)
- Ambition and plans for success

Required application materials (checklist)
Make sure every item below is included with your application. Incomplete applications may not be considered.

- Personal essay
- Acceptance letter from your intended college or university (if available)
- College/university student ID number (if available)
- High school transcript covering your entire high school career, current to the date you submit the application
- Current family financial information, including the Student Aid Summary (or Student Information Summary) from your FAFSA account

Eligibility (summary)
To be eligible, applicants must meet several requirements, including but not limited to:
- Attend a high school within the Foundation’s Area of Impact
- Be planning to enroll as a freshman at an eligible Tri‑State college or university in Fall 2026 (see the list of eligible and ineligible schools on the Foundation’s application page)
- Demonstrate financial need and a desire to overcome adversity

- Start your FAFSA early so you can include the Student Aid Summary with your application.
- Request your high school transcript well before the deadline.
- Draft your essay, get feedback from a teacher or counselor, and revise—your essay is a key way to show resilience and ambition.
- Check the Foundation’s website for the eligible/ineligible school list and any application updates.
