Overview
The Anthony Muñoz Foundation Scholarship Fund was established by Anthony Muñoz and his family to help motivated, deserving students from the Tri-State area pursue higher education close to home. The Fund awards multiple $20,000 scholarships to select graduating high school seniors who demonstrate both financial need and the determination to succeed.

What we look for
Scholarship recipients are chosen by interview and review. Selection is based on:
- Financial need
- Academic achievement
- Evidence of overcoming adversity
- Ambition, leadership, and community involvement

Required application materials
Be sure to include all of the following with your application:
1. Anthony Muñoz Foundation Scholarship Application Form
2. Personal essay
3. Acceptance letter from the college or university you plan to attend (if available)
4. College/university student ID number (if available)
5. Complete high school transcript (up to the date you submit the application)
6. Current family financial information, including your Student Aid Report (SAR) from your FAFSA account

Eligibility — key requirements (you must meet these)
Applicants must meet all of the following:
1. Be a graduating high school senior with either:
- A minimum 3.0 GPA, or
- A minimum composite ACT score of 18
2. Attend a high school located in the Foundation’s Tri-State Area of Impact:
- Kentucky: Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton
- Indiana: Dearborn, Franklin, Ohio, Switzerland, Union
- Ohio: Brown, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Greene, Hamilton, Highland, Montgomery, Preble, Warren
3. Plan to enroll as a freshman in the fall term (see note below about the year)
4. Be entering an accredited Tri-State college or university (refer to the list of eligible schools)
5. Demonstrate a desire and intent to overcome adversity, show financial need, perform well academically, and take on leadership roles in your community
6. Agree to interview with the Scholarship Fund selection committee if you are chosen as a finalist
7. Attend the award ceremony (listed previously as Sunday, June 9, 2024, in Mason, OH — please confirm current date)
8. Submit all required materials to the Anthony Muñoz Foundation by the stated deadlines
9. If selected as a winner, maintain full-time student status and a cumulative GPA above 2.5 while receiving the scholarship

A quick note on dates
I noticed the original text includes both “freshman standing by the fall of 2024” and “freshman status Fall 2025.” Which year should applicants plan for? I used fall 2024 in this rewrite for consistency but I can update the wording to fall 2025 (or another year) if you prefer.
