If you’re an incoming or continuing college student in Pinellas County who needs financial help and plans to earn a bachelor’s degree, the College Fund of Pinellas County, Inc. may be able to help. Read this carefully; incomplete or ineligible applications will not be reviewed.

About the College Fund
The College Fund of Pinellas County is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization that helps financially disadvantaged Pinellas County residents with strong academic potential complete a bachelor’s degree. Recipients must remain academically qualified, continue to receive a Pell Grant, and enroll in at least 12 credit hours each term to keep receiving funds.

Who may apply — eligibility checklist
To be eligible you must answer “Yes” to all of the following:
- Be a resident of Pinellas County.
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Be eligible to receive a Pell Grant for the upcoming school year (you must submit proof).
- Plan to attend a regionally accredited college or university in the upcoming school year.
- Plan to enroll full time (12 or more credit hours).
- Intend to pursue a bachelor’s degree.
- Have either a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher, or a college GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Required materials (upload with your application)
- A screenshot from your completed FAFSA showing you are eligible for a Pell Grant.
- Your most recent high school or college transcripts.
- Two essay responses, each no more than 400 words. (See the essay prompts on the application.)

Important instructions
- Read the entire application before you start.
- Gather your FAFSA screenshot, transcripts, and essays so you can finish in one session.
- Failure to provide all required information will disqualify your application.
