Pulver Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Glens Falls Foundation
Through a bequest of Harry Brereton Pulver, the Glens Falls Foundation provides scholarships to area students attending Dartmouth College or Harvard University as undergraduates.
The scholarships are for a maximum of four years. Applicants must be of good moral character, good academic proficiency, and have financial need. Applications may be obtained from the Glens Falls Foundation website at glensfallsfoundation.org. The application deadline is May 15.
Each scholarship awardee will be eligible to receive a minimum of $2,000 for each of four years, but the award may be greater based on the income available from the Pulver Scholarship Fund and the number of eligible candidates in any given year. Payments will be remitted directly to the student in July.
The Pulver Scholarship Program has been established to support undergraduate students at Dartmouth College or Harvard College who are residents of Warren, Washington, or Saratoga Counties in New York State. The scholarships are designed for students who have good moral character, good academic standing, and financial need. Students are able to receive Pulver Scholarships for a maximum of four years of undergraduate study. To continue eligibility, students must provide the Foundation with a letter from the Dean stating that the applicant has successfully completed the current year. A transcript shall also be submitted in a sealed envelope directly from the college. Initial applications must be submitted by May 15 for the following academic year.

- Please include a copy of your financial aid letter from Dartmouth or Harvard, if you received one. If you did not, please explain your financial circumstances in the essay below.
- Also, provide a copy of your high school transcript that includes grades through the first semester of the senior year, a complete list of extracurricular activities and volunteer work, at least two letters of recommendation, and documentation that you will be attending Dartmouth or Harvard.
- Submit with your application an essay describing how the Pulver Scholarship award will assist you in achieving your undergraduate goals. Please provide information beyond that stated elsewhere in the Pulver application process which you feel the committee should be aware.
