Quick overview
The Achieve Atlanta Scholarship is a need-based award for Atlanta Public Schools students who plan to pursue any postsecondary pathway after high school. Filling out the scholarship application is the first required step to become an Achieve Atlanta Scholar.

Important facts
- The application takes about 15–30 minutes and must be completed in one sitting. If you exit the form, it will reset and you’ll have to start over—so plan an uninterrupted block of time.
- Completion of the FAFSA is required to apply. After you submit the FAFSA, you’ll receive a FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS) PDF within 1–5 days that includes your Student Aid Index (SAI). You will need that information for the scholarship application.
- If you’re ineligible for federal financial aid, an alternative financial form is available for this scholarship. Call Achieve Atlanta at 404-880-3500 and select option 1 for details.
- If you need help completing the FAFSA, see your school counselor or college adviser, or contact Achieve Atlanta.

Before you start — checklist (do these first)
1. Submit the FAFSA at fafsa.gov and save the FSS PDF (you’ll get it in 1–5 days).
2. Confirm your current high school GPA with your counselor or on your transcript.
3. Set aside 15–30 uninterrupted minutes and make sure you have a reliable internet connection. Have your FSS (with SAI) and your GPA available.
4. If you can’t apply for federal aid, call 404-880-3500 (option 1) to learn about the alternative form.
5. If you need FAFSA help, speak with your counselor/college adviser or contact Achieve Atlanta.

Deadlines
- Final application deadline: June 1, 2026.
- If you want to be recognized at graduation as an Achieve Atlanta Scholar, apply by April 15.
