Selfless Act of Giving Mississippi Scholarship

Scholarship Sponsored by Lott Law Firm

Value: $1,000.00
Awards Available: 1

Matthew Lott, a seasoned attorney, initially embarked on his professional journey as a defense lawyer, representing large corporations and occasionally cities, in cases involving defective products, unsafe premises, and other personal injury claims. However, over time, he realized his true passion lay in advocating for individuals and their families. This led him to establish his own law firm, focusing on family and personal injury cases in the Gulf Coast area, as a means to contribute positively to his community.

In line with this spirit of giving back, the Selfless Act of Giving Scholarship was established. This scholarship, worth $1,000, is designed to recognize and support a student who has demonstrated a commitment to their community. Applicants are required to submit an essay detailing their volunteer experiences, the impact of their efforts on the community, the organization, and their personal growth. The aim of this scholarship is to inspire students to engage in community service, reinforcing the idea that no contribution is too insignificant when it comes to helping others.
