At Van Cleave Law, our mission is to secure justice for our clients, regardless of their circumstances. Our areas of expertise include personal injury, wrongful death, and breach of contract cases. Our primary motivation, led by Christopher Van Cleave and his dedicated team, is to secure justice for those affected by injuries, the loss of a loved one, or the failure of a business partner to uphold their commitments.

In our ongoing commitment to justice, and with a focus on nurturing the success of the next generation, Van Cleave Law has been proudly offering The Striving for Justice Scholarship since 2019. This opportunity is extended to students who are either currently attending or preparing to attend college in the United States. The scholarship is awarded to the qualifying student who can best articulate their commitment to standing up for others and advocating for justice in their local community. Applicants should provide an overview of the types of injustice they are striving to combat in their local community, and suggest ways for others to get involved.

The recipient of the Striving for Justice Scholarship will be selected based on the criteria outlined below, and will receive $1,000 to assist with the costs of furthering their education.

Scholarship Eligibility

The eligibility requirements for The Striving for Justice Scholarship are as follows:

• Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program within the United States.
• Applicants must have a current GPA of at least 3.0.
• Applicants must submit an essay, not exceeding 1,000 words, explaining how they stand up for others and fight for justice in their local community.

Application

A complete application for this scholarship will include:

• A resume that includes up-to-date contact information.
• A current academic transcript (cumulative GPA should be clearly visible).
• An essay that is 1,000 words or less.
