New Silver wants to help the next generation of entrepreneurs and technologists grow — and they’re backing that with $10,000 in scholarship prizes. If you’re a college student with questions and ideas about technology and finance, this is a chance to put your thinking on paper and be rewarded for it. Who may apply - Must be currently enrolled, or in the process of enrolling, as a full‑time student at an accredited U.S. college or university. - No minimum GPA, residency, or major requirement. - Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (DACA students are included). Assignment — how to enter - Prompt: How will artificial intelligence impact the financial services industry over the next 3–5 years? - Submit a 1,000‑word essay addressing that question. - Every submission will be read; if you are shortlisted, the New Silver team will contact you with next steps. How winners are chosen - Essays are judged on relevance to the prompt, overall quality of writing and analysis, and the depth (profundity) of the insights offered. A few quick tips from a teacher: focus on clear structure, back up claims with concrete examples or reasonable projections, and explain why your point of view matters for students, consumers, or the industry.
