The Paula Ford-Martin Memorial Fund is a Connecticut-based nonprofit organization. Our mission is to honor the life of Paula Ford-Martin, an advocate and loving mother of gay and transgender youth, by providing scholarship funds to outstanding young champions for the LGBTQ+ community. We encourage all those with an interest in LGBTQ+ advocacy to apply for our scholarship, regardless of their academic record.
Scholarships are awarded primarily on the basis of involvement with the LGBTQ+ community. Financial need, future plans, and academic/personal achievement are also considered.
Applicants will be notified of the Paula Ford-Martin Memorial Fund's decision no later than June 1, 2021. Each scholarship recipient will receive a check made payable directly to them. The average scholarship is $1,000; however, final award amounts are flexible based on financial need.
