The law firm of Doroshow, Pasquale, Krawitz & Bhaya is committed to promoting diversity in the legal sector. As a testament to this, we are thrilled to announce the DP Law Encouraging Diversity Scholarship, providing $1,000 to a deserving recipient in 2025. This scholarship is specifically intended for law or pre-law students who identify as minorities in terms of ethnicity, race, gender, sexuality, or financial status. Qualification Criteria
- Applicants must be a high school senior, vocational student, undergraduate, or postgraduate student legally residing in any of the 50 states or the District of Columbia, and intending to pursue a vocational program or two to four-year tertiary education in Spring 2026.
- The scholarship is open to students who identify as minorities in terms of race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, or financial status.
- Employees of Doroshow, Pasquale, Krawitz & Bhaya, their immediate family members (parents, siblings, children, and spouses) and individuals cohabiting with these employees (regardless of their relationship), are ineligible for this scholarship.
- Applicants should possess a minimum GPA of 3.0 and be in good academic standing.
Submission Requirements
- Applicants must complete the form below with all relevant information.
- Applicants must submit an essay of 750-1000 words addressing the prompt: The legal sector has traditionally seen a lack of diversity in several aspects including race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, and socioeconomic background. As an upcoming legal professional, how do you intend to contribute to a more inclusive and equitable legal system? Discuss any personal experiences, objectives, or initiatives you are passionate about that would promote increased diversity in the legal profession.
- Please be aware that all essays will be evaluated for AI writing. If an essay is found to be written by an AI, the application will be rejected.
- Applicants must submit a professional resumé detailing their professional and academic experiences.
- Applicants must provide a transcript from their current institution. First-year college students, postgraduate students, or individuals who have recently transferred schools can submit an unofficial transcript from their current school alongside the most recent official transcript from their previous school. High school students must also provide proof of acceptance into a college or university.
- Priority will be given to applicants originating from or attending secondary school in the state.
The recipient of the 2025 DP Law Aspiring Attorney Scholarship will be selected in the month following the scholarship deadline.
