Why this matters (plain and simple)
Burress Injury Law represents people who’ve been hurt through no fault of their own. The firm calls those people “underdogs,” and it wants to give back by helping students who have shown resilience and a desire to help others. If you’ve faced real obstacles and want to put those experiences to good use, this scholarship program is designed for you.
What the program offers
- Burress Injury Law awards at least six scholarships each year.
- The Underdog Scholarships range from $2,500 to $5,000 and are offered in both the spring and fall.
- The Friends of the Firm Scholarships are generally smaller, typically between $1,000 and $2,500.
- Awards can be used for tuition and other education-related expenses at accredited U.S. colleges and universities.
- Applications are currently being accepted for Fall 2026.
Who is eligible
You may apply for a Fall 2026 Burress Injury Law Scholarship if all of the following are true:
- You are a U.S. citizen.
- You have a demonstrated record of community or volunteer service.
- You will be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited U.S. college or university for the Fall 2026 semester.
- If you’re a high school graduate, you may apply only if you’ll be enrolled in college for the semester immediately following the application deadline (i.e., starting college in Fall 2026).
- At the time scholarship awards are issued, you must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours (a typical full‑time course load).
