Think of the HITEC Foundation as a partner for students who plan to work in technology. Since launching the scholarship program in 2017, HITEC has awarded $1,518,000 in scholarships—and they support recipients not just with money, but with mentorship from industry professionals and connections to internships.
What the scholarship offers
- Financial award: up to $5,000 to help pay for college.
- Career support: mentorship and internship connections through the HITEC community.
Who is eligible
You may apply if you meet all of the following:
- You are a graduating high school senior, a current undergraduate, or a graduate student.
- You have at least a 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
- You are majoring in, or plan to major in, a technology or technology-related field.
- You are a U.S. citizen, a permanent legal resident, or have active DACA status.

How the program is administered
The scholarship selection and administration are handled by International Scholarship and Tuition Services, Inc. (ISTS), an independent organization that manages sponsored educational assistance programs. This ensures a professional, impartial process.
