About the HITEC Foundation
The HITEC Foundation helps Hispanic students who plan to earn a college degree in a technology-related field. Our goal is to increase diversity in the tech industry by giving students financial support, industry mentorship, and access to internship connections. Since the scholarship program began in 2017, we have awarded $1,049,000 in scholarships.
Who can apply (basic eligibility)
- Be of Hispanic heritage (at least one parent of Hispanic descent).
- Be a graduating high school senior, a current undergraduate, or a graduate student.
- Have at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Major in, or intend to major in, a technology or technology-related field.
- Be a U.S. citizen, a permanent resident, or have active DACA status.

The following are examples of majors that qualify for the scholarship. This list is not exhaustive—if your major is technology-related but not listed here, please proceed with the application.

Award amount
Recipients may receive up to $5,000 to put toward their education.
