Eligibility (read carefully)
You must meet all of the following:
- Female
- Missouri resident
- Current high school senior graduating this year from a Missouri public school, private school, or home school

Gather these items before you start the application to make it faster and cleaner:
- Proof of residency and school enrollment/graduation status (as required by the application system)
- Parent or legal guardian full name and phone number
- School counselor’s name and contact (email and/or phone)
- Your class size (number of students in your graduating class)
- A short bio (250 words or fewer) — if selected, this will appear in the ceremony program
- Plan to attend the award ceremony in April if you are selected (exact date to be announced)

- Missouri State Representative and district number: go to house.mo.gov, enter your address and city in “Find Your Representative.”
- U.S. Congressional district: visit house.gov/representatives/find/ and enter your ZIP code.
- Zip+4: look up the full ZIP+4 at USPS.com.

15. ESSAY: As women legislators, we are honored and privileged to serve the people of Missouri. If you were a state legislator, what is one law you would work to pass and why? (write a clear, focused response)
16. If chosen as a recipient, you are expected to attend the award ceremony in April (exact date TBD).
17. If chosen as a recipient, you must submit a short bio (250 words or fewer) for the ceremony program.
18. SIGNATURE: By typing your full name, you certify that the information you provided is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge. You also authorize the Women Legislators of Missouri and their agents to examine, verify, and discuss your academic records and other application information. If awarded, you understand it is your responsibility to provide the Women Legislators of Missouri with any information needed to mail a check to your school by September 1; failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the award.
