JGGSF Scholarship

The Junior Girls’ Golf Scholarship Foundation (JGGSF) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that awards scholarships to Florida women who plan to attend college and who have demonstrated an interest in golf. Below is a clear summary of who can apply, what we look for, and how the selection process works.
Purpose
- Provide financial assistance (scholarships) to college- or university-bound women in Florida with an interest in golf.

- Larry Flynn Memorial Scholarship
- Marcia Mileti Scholarship
- Peggy Brass Scholarship
- Occasional one-time awards approved by the JGGSF Board
Who should apply
- Any candidate interested in any JGGSF scholarship should complete the general JGGSF Scholarship Application Form. Submitting this single application will put you in consideration for all named awards and any one-time awards that year.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a current Florida high school senior
- Be a Florida resident
- Be accepted to, or in the process of applying to, an accredited college or university
- Note: For the Sarah E. Huneycutt Scholarship, you must be applying to a Florida college or university
- Have a demonstrated interest in golf but be unable to qualify for a golf scholarship
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher to retain multi-year scholarships
Application Materials (required)
Please submit your application with the following attachments:
- Recent photograph
- Certified high school transcript
- One letter of recommendation (not from a relative). Recommended sources include:
- Guidance counselor
- Academic teacher
- Employer
- Clergy
Selection Process
- The Board reviews submitted applications.
- Select candidates may be invited to a personal interview (by phone, online, or in person at the interviewer’s discretion).
- From that pool, some candidates will be invited to a final in-person interview with the Scholarship Selection Committee.
- Following final interviews, the Board and Scholarship Selection Committee determine recipients for the year’s scholarships.
