Did you know that the Stock Show isn't just about livestock? It also provides a platform for young artists to showcase their talent and win big. The Stock Show Art Contest is open to all Texas residents aged between 5 and 18. This contest encourages young artists to create original works of art that reflect the culture of Texas and the western environment.
And it's not just the students who can benefit. Teachers also have the opportunity to win a $5,000 prize for their classrooms!
In total, over $80,000 will be awarded in cash and scholarships to these young, talented artists. This is a fantastic opportunity to support and encourage the artistic talents of our youth.
CALLING ALL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS:
Participation in this contest is absolutely free. Moreover, each submission will be rewarded with two one-day passes to the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo (FWSSR) grounds. This is a great chance to experience the event firsthand.
Every piece of art submitted will be displayed throughout the 23-day duration of the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. This provides an excellent opportunity for the artists to have their work viewed by a large audience.
Furthermore, the first-place entries from each age division (eight in total) will be sold at the Cowboy Artists of America Exhibition & Sale. This will not only provide additional exposure for the artists but also increase their scholarship amounts.
