Kids' Chance of Nebraska, a non-profit organization, takes immense pride in offering scholarships for post-secondary education and trade schools to the children of Nebraska workers who have suffered severe or fatal injuries in work-related accidents. Our mission is to raise educational funds for these children, supporting them in their pursuit of education, helping them achieve their goals, and enabling them to realize their dreams for the future.

1. The applicant must either have a high school diploma, a GED, or be a high school student in good standing who is set to graduate in the current academic year.
2. The applicant must be a dependent of a parent who has suffered a work-related fatality or injuries that have significantly impacted the family's income.
3. The scholarship funds can be utilized for vocational or technical school, junior college, undergraduate, or graduate programs.
4. The funds must be used exclusively for tuition, fees, or room and board. Please note that these will be paid directly to the institution.
5. Before the scholarship is awarded, the applicant must demonstrate that they meet the minimum criteria for acceptance to the institution to which they have applied. This can be done by submitting the formal acceptance letter from the institution or providing documentation (such as transcripts or test scores) that meet the institution's minimum admission criteria.
6. The awarding of scholarships is contingent on the availability of funds and may be renewed.
7. The scholarship funds will be disbursed each semester, contingent upon the approval of the board that the recipient is still attending the educational institution and meeting the required criteria.
