Here at Numerix, we are deeply committed to fostering the growth of talented women in the realm of capital markets. This commitment is embodied in our annual Women in Finance Scholarship program.
As part of our ongoing dedication to nurturing the future generation of female leaders in finance, Numerix offers a $20,000 scholarship to one exceptional graduate student who is embarking on a career in finance. This scholarship is divided equally, with half being paid directly to the educational institution and the other half to the student.
The scholarship is awarded to a Master's or PhD student enrolled in a finance-related program. Eligible candidates should have less than 10 years of overall work experience, with no more than five years in the finance sector. The student should be pursuing a career in one of the following areas: asset management, risk management, fixed income, or derivatives.
The Women in Finance Scholarship is designed to inspire and support gifted women in the finance sector, particularly those who are pursuing careers in financial asset management, market risk management, structured finance, fixed-income, and derivatives within the capital markets.
Initiated in 2014 as the FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship, this annual award is given to one deserving woman to aid her in pursuing graduate-level studies in Finance.
Eligibility criteria for the scholarship are as follows:
- Enrollment and full-time attendance in a Master's or PhD Finance program
- Commencement of post-graduate Finance studies no earlier than January 1, 2025, and no later than February 1, 2026
- Less than 10 years of total work experience, and less than 5 years of professional experience in the financial field
- Female citizenship of any country, with enrollment in a post-graduate program in Finance at an accredited university
