- Current membership in a national professional nursing association (for example, American Nurses Association or a specialty organization) or evidence of international honor society membership (Sigma Theta Tau International). You will need to upload a copy of your membership card.
- Proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency. Acceptable documents include:

- Birth certificate
- Naturalization certificate (USCIS)

- Enrolled (full- or part-time) in a professionally accredited nursing program.
- Completed at least 12 graded credits in the master’s program by the time you submit the application. (Note: pass/fail or “satisfactory” credits do not count.)

Doctoral applicants (PhD, DNP, DNAP, EdD)
- Hold both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree.
- Enrolled (full- or part-time) in a professionally accredited nursing program.
- Completed at least 12 graded credits in the doctoral program by the time you submit the application. (Pass/fail and satisfactory credits do not count.)
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.6.

Accelerated BSN-to-Doctoral applicants (PhD, DNP, DNAP, EdD) — for students without a master’s in nursing
- Enrolled (full- or part-time) in a professionally accredited nursing program.
- Completed at least 45 graded credits in the program by the time you submit the application. (Pass/fail and satisfactory credits do not count.)
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.6.

A few helpful notes
- “Professionally accredited” means your nursing program is accredited by the appropriate regional or national nursing accreditation body; check your school if you’re unsure.
- Make sure the credit counts you report are graded credits; pass/fail and satisfactory/no-credit courses are excluded from the credit minimums.
- Prepare clear, legible copies of your license, membership card, and citizenship/residency documents to upload with your application.
