Bootstraps Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Bootstraps
Bootstraps awards scholarships and interest-free loans to graduating high school students from the mountain-area. These awards are paid for by generous local individuals, families, businesses, and civic organizations.
Who is eligible to apply?
- You will graduate from high school during the current school year.
- You are a legal resident of the State of Colorado.
- You live within the attendance boundaries for Clear Creek, Conifer, Evergreen, or Platte Canyon High Schools.
- Students living in those attendance boundaries who attend homeschool programs, online programs, private schools, or alternative schools are also eligible.
- You plan to enroll full-time in a postsecondary program in fall 2026 (college, university, community college, or a trade/vocational/certification program).
Financial need
- Financial need is a factor for all applicants. You are considered to have financial need when the school’s Cost of Attendance (COA) exceeds your Student Aid Index (SAI) from the FAFSA.
- Some Bootstraps awards only consider need; others require demonstrated financial need.
- If you plan to attend an out-of-state school, we will use a standard COA of $42,738.94 (the average COA of Colorado public universities and the four largest private colleges) to calculate need, unless your chosen school’s published COA is lower. This approach honors your school choice while helping distribute funds fairly.
